The Nua-O Scholarship 2024 Distribution Programme is Launched by the Odisha CM
New Delhi: On February 26, 2024, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the distribution programme for the Nuwa-O scholarship plan across a number of Odisha districts. The objective of the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha project is to uplift the youth by offering chances for ongoing skill development, reskilling, and upskilling.
The Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha initiative has been given a budget of INR 385 crore for the fiscal years 2023-24 to 2025-26. The scheme would cover all 30 districts, with a focus on tribal and remote areas.

Qualifications for the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme for 2024
Students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programmes at government and non-government-aided colleges, as well as state universities in Odisha, would be eligible for the award. The Higher Education Department’s Sanskrit colleges will also be a part of it. Students will not be eligible for the award if their parents are government employees on a permanent basis or if they pay income taxes.
