India’s squad for the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2023 is announced by BCCI, giving Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother a chance.
The 18-year-old all-round batsman for Mumbai in the CK Nayudu Trophy, Musheer Khan, has already participated in three first-class matches and amassed a triple hundred runs.
The Mumbai Cricket Association’s only player chosen for the U19 Asia Cup 2023 is Musheer.

On Saturday, November 25, the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) revealed the Indian U-19 team for the forthcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2023. For the first time, Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother, 18-year-old Musheer Khan, is part of the squad of 15. December 8 is the start of the mega tournament in the United Arab Emirates,
which is led by Uday Saharan of Punjab.The spin all-rounder Musheer has already made three first-class appearances for Mumbai and is well-known for his triple century in the CK Nayudu Trophy. He is playing for India A in the ongoing Quadrangular Under-19 Series; on Friday, he scored fifty runs against India B.
Musheer has amassed ten wickets in six matches and two consecutive fifties during his excellent form in the tournament.Musheer is the only Mumbai Cricket Association player chosen for the 15-man roster, though. Additionally, four more reserve players have been named by the BCCI, along with three travelling standby players who will not be visiting the UAE.

In the meantime, India was drawn into Group 1 along with Pakistan, Nepal, and Afghanistan. On December 8, they play Afghanistan in the tournament’s opening match at ICC Academy Oval – 1, and on December 10, they play rival Pakistan at the same location. On December 17, the championship game will take place at Dubai International Stadium.

Defending champions India will be led by promising batsman Uday Saharan in the ACC Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, which begins on December 8 in the United Arab Emirates.
Punjabi cricketer Saharan, 19, has been considered for selection for some time. He was also brought in as a backup after Covid injured the Indian team during the Under-19 World Cup in Antigua last year.

With eight titles, India is the most successful team in the U19 Asia Cup.
In the tournament, India is grouped with Nepal, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. On December 8, they will play the Afghans at the ICC Academy Oval-1 to start the campaign.
On December 10 at the same location, India will play Pakistan in a highly anticipated match; on December 12, they will play Nepal in their last group match.
On December 17, the final is slated to take place at the Dubai International Stadium.
