If I declare I want a Bloodborne PC port, I’ll be in trouble, but it’s nothing I’m averse to, says Hidetaka Miyazaki, who “knows for a fact” that other FromSoftware developers want one as well.

After interviewing FromSoftware CEO Hidetaka Miyazaki for PC Gamer’s Shadow of the Erdtree cover story, I knew I had to ask The Question before leaving the conference room where we had been sitting for nearly an hour. You know the one: ever since Sony began releasing its games on Steam, PC fans have been thinking about it throughout every single significant livestream and gaming event. When will Bloodborne be available on PC?

It goes without saying that I wasn’t the first to approach Miyazaki about doing a Bloodborne sequel or a follow-up; a few months prior, he informed IGN that FromSoftware doesn’t possess the intellectual property.
I attempted a somewhat different strategy by offering myself as the lamb of sacrifice. I started out by stating that I was aware that FromSoftware did not own Bloodborne and that I would be in danger if I didn’t ask this question. I noted, however, that there are millions of PC gamers out there who are still clutching onto hope. Would Miyazaki himself be interested in seeing Bloodborne released on PC in the future?
The employees at FromSoftware laughed at this and responded sincere.

Miyazaki addressed the FromSoftware producer Yasuhiro Kitao and interpreter Bobby Simpson sat at the conference table next to him, saying, “I know for a fact these guys want a Bloodborne PC port.” “I’ll be in trouble too if I admit I want one. However, I have nothing against it.”
I had assumed it would be the last thing he would say about the subject, but Miyazaki continued to elaborate.
It would be great to have the chance for more people to be able to experience this and relive this historical artifact, especially for a game that is now approaching its maturity and is one of those classic games that gets lost on outdated technology. Therefore, in my opinion, there is nothing to which I would object.
