Requirements for AFMS Medical Officers in 2024
What follows is a list of the minimum age and educational requirements for applying to be a Medical Officer in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
The minimum educational requirement for this position is an MBBS from an accredited medical school; additionally, candidates must have finished their internship and be permanently registered with either the SMC or the MCI.
Maximum Age:
There will be a 3-year age relaxation for OBC(NCL) and a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST, respectively, and one age must be less than 30 as of 31 December 2024.
2024 Application Fee for AFMS Medical Officers
All candidates, regardless of category, are required to pay the application fee of 200 rupees through any of the following payment gateways: debit, credit, NET banking, or any other service provided by the Indian government’s Ministry of Defense: Armed Forces Medical Services.
Selection Process for AFMS Medical Officers in 2024
There are two parts to the AFMS selection process for the role of Medical Officer: the interview and the verification of documents. After the application forms are reviewed, the candidates will be invited for the first round of interviews. The second round follows, and finally, the final selection list will be made based on how well they did in the Vice-Voce.
