Scholarship for Merit NEC 2023–2024
Students from the Northeast region are some of the most gifted and driven in the country. However, the northern region of India still requires significant development.
Their lack of resources forces the kids to give up on their education. Thus, the government frequently introduces a number of plans and initiatives to help these underprivileged students.
The government-funded NEC Merit Scholarship is one of these programmes that aids students in covering their tuition costs. It was started by the North Eastern Council. Up to INR 30,000 will be awarded to each student, based on their courses and level of study commitment.
They need to receive 60% overall and 60% for STs and SCs on their prior exams from an accredited university. This plan only addresses the Northeastern States, commonly referred to as the Seven Sisters States.
This scholarship can only be applied for online; there is no offline option. We’ll be talking about how a Candidate applies for this scheme in the next article. What are the requirements for eligibility? and everything else.
