Over 33.5 Points for Chargers versus Raiders (-110)
Aidan O’Connell versus Easton Stick. exactly as the schedule creators had intended.
In addition to sitting out the game on Sunday, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs did not play. I wonder how much offence Las Vegas can muster without him.
The Chargers have also demonstrated their ability to restrict bad plays. They have given up 12 points per game in five games against teams with offensive DVOA rankings of 22nd or lower.
The Raiders have also shown that they have an extremely strong home defence. Up until their performance on Sunday versus the Vikings, Las Vegas has only let up 15 points per contest at Allegiant Stadium.
Under Antonio Pierce, they have only given up 21 points in three home games against teams that are not among the top 10 in offensive DVOA.
Las Vegas only has trouble stopping the run; according to DVOA, their rush defence ranks 26th.
But the Chargers, who rank 25th in the same offensive category, provide almost no running threat.
Lastly, since 2018–19, primetime unders have been 60% under. This season, both teams are 10-3 against the spread; I predict that this trend will continue.
O’Connell and associates commence.
Even though the Raiders offence struggled on offence last week, they have turned things around and are ahead 42-0 after two quarters.
Twelve plays and 68 yards later, capped by a Zamir White rushing touchdown, gave the Silver and Black seven points. It was the first touchdown the Chargers had given up on an opening drive this year. Tre Tucker’s touchdown after a four-play, 42-yard drive put the Raiders in the end zone on their next possession.
On their third drive of the game, quarterback Aidan O’Connell found wide receiver Jakobi Meyers for a 22-yard touchdown. The last time the Raiders scored on three consecutive drives was against the Jets on November 1, 2015.
This offence found the end zone twice more in the first half, which continued their explosive play.
On their opening drive, the Silver and Black defence forced the Chargers to a three-and-out, which ignited the crowd. The Raiders are the only team in the NFL to have forced a three-and-out on an opponent’s opening drive eight times this season.
Easton Stick, the quarterback for the Chargers, was sacked twice by the defence, which also limited the offence to 86 yards in the first half.
They also recovered two of the three fumbles they forced, one of which was on special teams.
Aidan O’Connell throws Tre Tucker a DIME for a 30-yard touchdown.
The first of several
Zamir White scored his first touchdown of the season on the first drive after Josh Jacobs was benched. It was all about the next man up mentality for White.

However, he wasn’t the only player to score their first touchdown; wide receiver Tre Tucker also found himself in the end zone twice, on the second drive following a deep 30-yard pass from O’Connell and again on a 20-yard pass to end the first half.
In Week 2 of the 2015 season, two Raiders offensive players scored their first touchdowns in their careers. That was the last time that happened.
